The only nearly inexhaustible sources of water are the oceans, which however are of high salinity. It would be feasible to address the water-shortage problem with seawater desalination; however, the separation of salts from seawater requires significant amounts of energy which, when produced from fossil fuels, can cause harm to the environment. It has also been found from that reject brine causes sodicity problems which have adverse effects on soil properties and natural vegetative in the area surrounding the conventional desalination plants. Therefore there is a need to employ environmentally-friendly renewable energy sources in order to desalinate seawater.
To directly address concerns that have haunted other Green Energy Technologies, the systems Alternative Energy Specialist's systems are positively environmentally friendly to all of our earth’s creatures. The systems are installed in an ocean or river and will NOT harm marine life. Its innovative design permits the operation of the unit to operate without danger or harm to our seas creatures and is fully compatible with sea life in both mechanical operations and the return of the salt brine from the desalinization process.
