Alternative Energy Specialist systems are the first to integrate renewable resources of water current to create a desalination/water purification system in a single unit. This unique concept and innovative approach combines energy produced by a water-current-generator and a submerged-water- filtration-system. We use an exclusive submarine approach using water currents and hydrostatic pressure for the water filtration/desalination process
Alternative Energy Specialist Systems uses water-currents which is environmentally friendly renewable energy for seawater desalination. By producing the thermal energy required to drive the phase-change processes and by producing the electricity required to drive the membrane processes these systems are dual-purpose facilities, producing both electricity and potable water. Water currents provide a consistent, reliable electrical power and potable water source at zero input energy cost.
These renewable energy-water systems greatly reduce the cost of creating new sources of freshwater from impaired resources, such as brackish water, by directly addressing the major component of operating cost of desalination systems – energy.
Nature of the Technology:
The origin and continuation of mankind is based on water. Water is one of the most abundant resources on earth, covering three‑fourths of the planet's surface.

Cost-effectiveness:
These renewable energy water systems greatly reduce the cost of creating new sources of freshwater from impaired resources, such as brackish water, by directly addressing the major component of operating cost of desalination systems – energy. They provide a consistent, reliable electrical power and potable water source at zero input energy cost.
Cost of production for these units depends upon KW output and water speed. Water power is cubed each time water speed doubles. Therefore a water speed of 2.7 meters per second has 8 times as much power as a water speed of 1.35 meters per second. More power means our Water-Current-Generator size can be reduced and that reduces the cost. A typical application for a medium sized unit is in a 2.7 meter per second flow, a 150 KW unit in this application is less than 1 cent per KW. Capitol cost is approximately $85,000.00 in single unit quantities for this sized unit in this application. What is important to understand is that this cost does not go up as there is NO input power cost.
A Comparison to other Alternative Energy Sources:
When comparing this output to other alternative energies one must consider the true output. For example, our unit produces reliable constant power 24 hours per day, 365 days per year while wind on average produces 19% of the time. So a wind generator with a 150 KW rating would produce 249,660 KW per year, a solar system would produce 657,000 kw per year and our system will produce 1,314,000 KW per year. So when comparing capitol costs one must consider these figures as the TRUE production values. In addition, both wind and solar require a back up or storage system that can cost far more the than the production system itself and must be factored in any cost comparison.
Effects on the Country's Development:
By implementing our systems in developed or undeveloped areas we will be a catalyst towards their increasing drive in modernity. Our systems will be affordable and consistent which immediately enhance the quality of living and have a signifigant impact on the health of the poplulation being served.
Environmental Impact:
To directly address concerns that have haunted other Green Energy Technologies, the system is positively environmentally friendly to all of our earth’s creatures. The system installed in an ocean or river will NOT harm marine life. Its innovative design permits the operation of the unit to operate without danger or harm to our seas creatures and is fully compatible with sea life in both mechanical operations and the return of the salt brine from the desalinization process.
The systems brine disposal is environmentally friendly, using an exclusive dispersion system. The brine is released in the middle of ocean currents at mid-depth, thus providing a rapid dispersion with minimum impact on the environment. The system also reduces the risk of sea life impingement through the feed water intake system. The modular configuration allows an efficient dispersion of the suction effect as the desalination vessels are kept at a specific distance from each other. Finally, no pretreatment chemicals are required in the desalination process.
